Hello my friends!
The big news this week will be the Full Moon in Leo on Friday,
at 10:17pm PST (1:17am on Saturday, EST), happening at 10
degrees Leo. Now, of course, for a Full Moon, the Sun must
be opposing it - and it is, at 10 degrees Aquarius. Each month,
the Moon opposes the Sun for our Full Moon, which can cause
an imbalance between our ego and emotions - and it is this
that we sometimes see as Full Moon craziness. If you work
with the public, you probably can observe this phenomenon,
though some months you don't notice it so much and other months
you can't help but notice, right? This month the Moon will
be in fun loving and gregarious Leo while the Sun is in outgoing
and unpredictable Aquarius (opposite it's ruling sign of Leo,
even). Interestingly, too, on the West Coast the Sun will
fall in the 5th house (traditionally Leo's house) and the
Moon will be in the 11th house (traditionally Uranus's house),
further accenting that imbalance, perhaps. Most affected may
be those with Sun or other planets in Leo or Aquarius and
those in the squaring signs of Taurus and Scorpio.
Now some of you are saying "10 degrees Leo?" -
you guessed it... The Full Moon will be conjunct that Mars
retrograde we've been talking so much about. When the Moon
and Mars are conjunct, we may find people (including ourselves)
to be impulsive and emotional, although perhaps not so sensitive
to the feelings of others. We may act without thinking and
that makes it particularly dangerous driving - so please use
extra caution this weekend.
On the opposite side of the wheel, the Sun will be hanging
out with Venus, at 14 degrees Aquarius. When the Sun is conjunct
Venus we may tend to be gentle, loving and charming. Often
times, we can express ourselves in an affectionate manner
and enjoy the company of other people. During this time we
have a stronger love for art and beauty, though we can be
idealistic and easily hurt.
Of course, that means that Venus and Mars are also opposing
one another. At such a time, we may struggle to balance our
own needs and the needs of our partners in relationships.
We may see-saw between wanting closeness and freedom. On the
one hand we seek adventure on our own, on the other we want
to be close to our partner. The ideal is a balance between
the two. At the same time, Juno (the marriage asteroid) squares
Mercury, which could be surprising communication in our primary
relationships, this weekend.
Now, I know that most of us are still very tired, very low
energy and a good number of us are just not feeling well,
thanks to Mars retrograde. There's a lot to indicate that
many of us are feeling the strain of other aspects that are
urging us to move forward with big changes (like Pluto squaring
Saturn and quincunx Jupiter) and that Saturn and Venus working
together to focus us on relationships - but while Mars is
retrograde (until March 10th) the focus is going to be on
our own physical body. If we take care of ourselves first,
we will get stuff done and progress, albeit slowly. If we
try to plow through with our agenda without first tending
our health, nothing will get done. It's an excellent time
to focus on and intention healthier long term habits - if
we get this part right now, we will have a much better year
ahead. If we choose to ignore this opportunity and don't give
our bodies the attention they need now, we will feel this
issue throughout the year, so please, take care of yourselves.
Wishing you all the very best! Peace!
Carole
